24 февраля 2017

Entrepreneurship Week dedicated to solving topical issues is due to launch today in Belarus. A total of 100 events are planned to take place, the key one being the Business Circles Assembly scheduled for 1 March. Attended by representatives of the business community and state agencies, such meetings are aimed at effective interaction between authorities and business. This year’s agenda includes over 80 proposals in 6 areas, such as fair competition and efficient debureaucratisation. However, the authorities-business dialogue can be held via public advisory councils designed to promptly solve urgent problems.

About 200 regulations on topical business issues have been adopted in Belarus at the initiative of the business community over the past 6 years. Due to such changes, Belarus has been ranked 37th in the 2017 Doing Business ranking, leaving behind 153 countries.
