Amkodor ready to open assembly plant in Pakistan

Amkodor is ready to open an assembly plant in Pakistan, as agreed during the Pakistan-Belarus business forum. Prior to Alexander Lukashenko’s first official visit to Pakistan, Belarusian business representatives arrived in Islamabad to discuss trade and economic cooperation with their Pakistani counterparts. Pakistani companies have expressed interest in purchasing Belarusian agricultural, road and industrial machinery, as well as in setting up joint assembly plants. The business forum resulted in 12 trade agreements worth 42 million dollars.

On 26-27 May, President of Belarus will pay an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Alexander Lukashenko will hold talks with the Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister and Speaker of the Pakistani Parliament. The visit is expected to result in the signing of several bilateral documents.
