The Prime Minister of Belarus believes that measures taken to increase exports and finding new markets are not sufficient. This was announced by Andrei Kobyakov at the Presidium of the Council of Ministers. Exports of goods and services in the first nine months of the year fell by a quarter as compared to the same period of the last year. Yet, diversification of markets is already yielding results in the form of positive balance of foreign trade in over a billion dollars or nearly 3 percent of GDP.

Andrei Kobyakov, Belarus Prime Minister: "There is a significant increase in sales in physical volumes. In general, a task is set to diversify exports. Exports of goods to new promising markets continue to grow."

This year Belarus has increased the volume of sales to China by nearly 40%. About 10% to Africa, Central and North America.
