SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA


 

The Symphony Orchestra of the National Television and Radio Company of Belarus was created in 1958. The orchestra’s main creative directions of activity are audio- and video recordings, broadcast of concert programs via radio and TV, performance of classical and modern music in concerts.

The history of the orchestra is closely connected with the Belarusian composers and performers. The orchestra performed and made audio records of the opening nights of all important symphonic and vocal-symphonic pieces of music of Belarusian composers.
A great period in the history of the orchestra is connected with the name of wonderful Belarusian conductor Boris Raiski - a man of great enthusiasm, rigid music taste and wide music interests.

The orchestra cooperated with best Belarusian and foreign conductors and soloists, such as Vitaly Kataev, Gennady Provatorov, Ilmar Lapinsh, Konstantin Krimets, Dmitry Alekseev, Igor Olovnikov, Andrey Sikorsky. These famous musicians made a notable contribution to the artistic history of the symphony orchestra. The orchestra successfully performs with classical music programs in Belarus and abroad. The orchestra works with the Academic Choir of the Belteleradiocompany, Academic Capella of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Hall, Choir of the Academy of Music, Chamber Choir of Aarau Canton (Switzerland). The orchestra went on roads of Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, and Denmark.

CONDUCTORS

Gennady ProvatorovSince 2002, Gennady Provatorov, National artist of Russia, professor, famous Belarusian and Russian conductor, has been a chief conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the National Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus. This outstanding artiste had broad music horizons and great experience as a conductor. He superbly interpreted symphonic and opera music.
 
Cheslav GrabovskySuccessful cooperation with conductor, professor Cheslav Grabovsky started in 2006. The famous maestro possesses wide symphonic repertoire, performs large music works for a choir and a symphony orchestra. He works in Belarus, Poland and other countries of Europe. He is the director of a philharmonic society and the Chief conductor of a symphony orchestra in Zielona Gora in Poland.

Since 2010, professor Cheslav Grabovsky is the Chief conductor - art director of the Symphony Orchestra of National Television and Radio Company of Belarus.
 
Alexander RazumovSince 2005, Mr. Alexander Razumov has been a chief conductor of the Symphony Orchestra. He graduated from the Saint Petersburg Conservatoire in 2002. Razumov worked as the chief conductor of Pskov symphony orchestra, Russia, for some years. The conductor fruitfully works with classical and modern symphonic repertoire. Some of his musical works are recorded. He successfully conducts in Minsk and other cities and towns of Belarus.
