Eurovision 2009: Support our performer, vote for the best ones!
The First Channel and satellite TV channel "Belarus-TV" are going to broadcast all shows of Eurovision-2009 live. Semi-final competitions of Eurovision will take place on May 12 and 4. 10 best participants of each semi-final and organizing members of Eurovision (UK, France, Spain and Germany) will perform in the final as well as representative of hosting country, Russia. All the concerts will begin at 22:00. They will be commented by Denis Kurian and Alexander Tikhanovich.
The Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Chair of Belteleradiocompany Alexander Martynenko is staying in Moscow at the moment together with Belteleradiocompany's shooting crews. Thanks to hot editions of "News" and "Eurovision Diaries" the audience of the First Channel and TV channel "Belarus TV" has an opportunity to learn the latest news of "Eurovision" play-by-play.
42 states will take part in a popular song contest. Let us remind you that Eurovision- 2009 consists of two semi-finals (18 countries take part in the 1st semi-final and 19 in the 2nd one.) Founders of Eurovision (the UK, France, Spain and Germany) and Russia as a winner of Eurovision-2008 and a host of the current contest will get into the final automatically.
According to the draw, the Belarusian representative Petr Yelfimov will sing #4 in the first semi-final, which will be opened by representative of Montenegro and closed by Bosnia and Herzegovina. Among the other participants of the first semi-final are Andorra, Belgium, Israel, Sweden, Czech Republic, Island, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Portugal, Switzerland, Finland, Turkey, Malta and Romania.
The second semi-final will be opened by Croatia and closed by representative of the Netherlands. The representative of Ukraine will sing #17. The Belarusian TV viewers cannot vote in the second semi-final.
The UK, France, Spain and Germany and Russia as a host of the current contest will get into the final scheduled for May 16 automatically. He UK, Germany and Spain will be broadcasting the first semi-final (May 12) and vote in it. Russia and France will be airing the second semi-final and have the right to vote in it.
The Belarusian viewers can cast a vote for the chosen performer on May 12 and in the final on May 16. The vote will be available after the performance of the last participant. The TV audience will be able to vote by dialing the numbers on the screen within 15 minutes after the show.
In order to cast a vote, dial 8-810-101-03-ÕÕ (ÕÕ – number of the performer). The cost of the call is 1, 000 Belarusian rubles for physical persons. The legal persons and individual entrepreneurs will have to pay the additional 18% of VAT. SMS messages (available for all mobile operators) can also be sent to the number 7708. The cost of a tax free message is 1, 300 Belarusian rubles.
Changes have been introduced to the rules of the vote this year. The votes of the jury and the audience will be added in the correlation 50 to 50.
In the semi-finals the number of points given by the participants of each country will not be announced and the hosts of the contest will just name the winners. The results of the Belarusian vote will be pronounced by Miss Belarus - 2006 Ekaterina Litvinova.
All major events of Eurovision-2009 and live shows of May 12, 14 and 16 will be aired by the First Channel and Belarus-TV.
