On January 31 the professional jury and the organizational committee of the national contest decided that Angelica Agurbash would represent Belarus at the International Song Contest “Eurovision-2005” in Kiev.
The professionals gathered at the collegium hall of Belteleradiocompany to watch performances of the candidates on big screen. All three performers where present during the meeting: Polina Smolova, Angelica Agurbash and Natalia Tamelo. All three of them actively worked over costumes, performance and style.
The victory was given to Angelica Agurbash after long debates. Chair of the jury, Distinguished Artist of Belarus, professor Mikhail Finberg noted that this is the final decision and may not be overruled.
The hardest work over the song and performance is still ahead. In two months Angelica Agurbash will be protecting the honor of Belarus on Kiev stage.
On 18 March, 2005 , at the Eurovision-2005 national organizing committee meeting, the professional jury has unanimously chosen "Love Me Tonight" as the song representing Belarus at the forthcoming contest.
