On July 7, Belteleradiocompany will hold auditions for applicants who will participate in the national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017.

On July 7, Belteleradiocompany will hold auditions for applicants who will participate in the national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017. For the first time in the history of the children's national selection, live auditions will take place on the largest television platform of the media holding – in the 600 Metres Studio.

The organizer of the national selection is the National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus. The selection is conducted in accordance with the Regulations developed by the organizer and the Competition Rules established by the European Broadcasting Union.

In accordance with the Regulations, the deadline for accepting applications for participation in the selection process ends today - on 30 June, 2017.

Traditionally, applicants for participation send their entries in the last days, and this year was no exception yet again. As of 15.00 on 30 June, the organizers received about 30 applications, but this number is not final yet. As in past years, Belteleradiocompany will be receiving entries for 7 more days, so that all the parcels sent by the time limit specified got to the address of the media holding and were considered.

On 7 July at 12.00, potential participants of the musical children's forum will be able to present their compositions to the professional jury in the largest studio at Makaenka, 9 - the famous 600 studio, equipped with the latest technology. All contestants, whose applications are processed in accordance with the requirements specified in the Regulations, will be admitted to the auditions.

Based on the results of the auditions, the professional jury will choose 7 to 10 contestants who will then participate in the finals, which will be held no later than 16 September in the form of a gala concert broadcast live by TV channels Belarus 1 and Belarus 24.

The winner of the national selection, who will represent Belarus at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest-2017 on 26 November in Tbilisi, Georgia, will be determined by the results of the voting of both the professional jury and TV audience.
